Return a dog from police kennels

My name is Lizzie and I work for a charity supporting vulnerable citizens of Nottingham. One of service users dog (Daisy) escaped and was taken to the Nottinghamshire police dog kennels. Regretfully Daisy's owner is of no fixed abode, however Daisy is microchipped and very well taken care of despite her owners current circumstances.

I have met Daisy on several occasions she is a lovely gentle soul and the thought of her in kennels away from her loving owner is heart breaking. Regretfully the owner cannot afford the fees to return her home, we desperately need to raise £85 before 5pm today to get her returned, however each day the fee increases and Daisy is away from her owner.

The owner went to the local police station immediately and gave her details to the police but was turned away and not listened to. A complaint will be made in respect of this.
