Return a teacher to her students!

My name is Schuyler and my sister is a single parent and a great mother of 3! Stacy and her family are in desperate need of support and prayers. Her youngest daughter has Down's Syndrome and her other two help support her and the family. She left her career in public education to begin working with special needs, at-risk, and learning different children. Stacy has worked extremely hard to get legislation passed in the stte of Texas that supported gaps in special needs education. Although she had options to take advantage of higher paying positions, she focused on those who could not afford or access quality care and education. She stayed committed to her students even during the COVID lock-down and made sure she was able to meet their needs with creative teaching lessons. The students she serves are primarily high-risk and do not have access to public or private school structures. Stacy commutes each of her student's location and educates these students with mental limitations and those with behavioral issues. She loves them and they are her world. I am truly amazed how she connects and becomes a "positive' role model for these families and kids' lives. My sister is one who always put others first and always stresses the importance of helping others.

Tuesday night, she returned after doing what she loves the most and suffered a heart attack and a few strokes. Her oldest daughter acted quickly and had her admitted to Cedar Park Regional Hospital where she was placed in ICU. The doctors and nurseshave been fantastic and have helped to stabilize her. She has a long road ahead to recovery and there are still many risks that she must overcome. She is strong willed, a fighter, and we know she will desire to regain her independence. Unfortunately, she does not have means to support her and her family. This campaign will help her with the cost of medical bills, rehabilitation, and other expenses related to her recovery. It will also help remove the stress of having to be the primary breadwinner! The funds will help support the family during this time, such as providing for basic needs, covering missed work, and paying for transportation to medical appointments.
