Building a small army to return to the fight...

It's been about 5 years since I started a GoFundMe for my brother-from-another-mother, John. 5 years since he started the battle for his life, a life-changing one, and one that he ultimately walked away from ... A time when so many stood up to help win the fight, and a time no one wants to relive.

Remembering 'Victory Day' 2019

Writing this brings me back to a more painful time, and regrettably, John returns to the battlefield once again. This time he is bringing the fight to cancers' doorstep by receiving early treatment for potential recurrence.

In November last year (2022) his radiologist reported a suspicious mass in the pelvis area. Despite negative biopsies at the time, in February the oncologist recommended a CT guided biopsy in April (2023) that was negative, but blood tests and PET scan reported otherwise. This July it was recommended he start chemotherapy again to attempt to attack the mass.

This detrimental news comes on the heels of John's new budding business venture, Mac's Pest Management and his wife's recent hysterectomy surgery. While his entrepreneurial endeavor holds the promise of a brighter future for his family, and I know he's going to crush it, I'm hoping that this fundraiser will be a beacon of light in these extremely trying times.

John's an absolute warrior, but no one should have to stand alone (and if you know him like I do then you know he would ). I invite everyone to share this fundraiser and help me build a small army to unite behind John, his family and his new entrepreneurial venture while he returns to the fight.
