Josephs recovery

baby Joseph was attacked by a pit bull & his face was completely ripped apart he was airlifted from banner desert to Phoenix Children’s Hospital on 5/31/21  his jaw was torn apart & teeth were lost he was in critical condition and was placed on a ventilator

Joseph is still recovering from all the trauma he suffered major tissue loss on his cheek and half his nose is gone as well as his tear duct luckily his eye looks fine but is still healing. He has gone through multiple surgeries and still has many many surgeries to go. this is every parents worst nightmare I’m falling apart as I type this and know we have a huge up hill battle ahead of us not only for Joseph but our family as a whole. Joseph is the happiest kid. I hope no one every has to go through what we did . We are lucky to have him with us. 

Josephs will be needing a prosthesis due to him being so little and doctors not wanting to operate his nose. It breaks me to see other people and kids staring at him and pointing out every time we go somewhere this is the hardest thing we’ve ever been through. I never though I’d be the one creating this post. 
Its about to be a year but everyday gets harder and harder for us to understand that this is our life from now on.
All $ will be placed in a savings account only for Joseph when the time comes for his reconstruction.
