Reuben's Broken Leg UPDATE!

Hi, we are Tara & Erin Ferguson and we are fundraising for the surgery and repair of our boy Reuben's broken leg.

Yesterday, Reuben endured a horrific break of his back right leg when he was running about in the yard. This is Reuben's second break, as he broke is leg on the track during his professional racing career, which was surgically repaired before adoption.

Unfortunately neither a clinic in town or the closest 24 Emergency facility in London were able to facilitate any services so we we chose to drive an hour to Michigan for Reuben to get treated.

He is there now under 24 hour care and will hopefully have his surgery in the next few days (Friday, but hopefully before that).

An unexpected severe and painful break has left our family devastated and any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone for thoughts and well wishes. We know Reuben will bounce back soon as he is a strong and stoic soul. We miss him so much and our house is not a home with out him. Wishing for his speedy return to us.

8:27pm. HELLO ALL!!!!! *** REUBIE UPDATE! He is out of surgery (Yay it happened today). He did very well and still has 4 legs (not that there is anything wrong with 3). Hopefully we will pick him up tomorrow and get him on the road to recovery! Thanks to EVERYONE today who has been so amazing and supportive. Our hearts are so FULL with all of the love and support. The speed of treatment has allowed us to decrease our goal significantly which brings us that much closer to our fundraising success. THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE! Ripley is sad and missing his best friend and bro and we are all very excited to bring him HOME.
