Reunite the Hanson's!

Chris, Melissa, Lucas, Tamara Lenhart (Missy’s sister), and their newly welcomed son-in-law, Jordan Hubbard, have been a part of the RAM family for many years. The Hanson family has been through an extremely hard situation, and we would like to share their story and ask for your support.

On Sunday, September 25, 2022, Chris and Melissa Hanson received an alarming call from their daughter, Halliejo, that would forever alter the lives of their entire family.

Halliejo, frightened beyond words, explained their home was consumed in flames!

Chris and Melissa had just sat down to enjoy a movie at the theater when the call came in, so naturally, they jumped to their feet and raced home.

The drive home would take 15 minutes but would feel like an eternity with the feelings of panic, dread, devastation, worry and sadness. They could see the massive, billowing clouds of black smoke from the freeway. “That’s our house!?” Complete shock and disillusion took hold.

Chris and Melissa arrived at their once whole home to witness over twenty years of memories, happy moments, sunny days, relaxing weekends, holidays, and special events in red hot flames destroying everything it touched within minutes.

Imagining this scenario as a bad dream is one thing, but an incident such as this can and will change how you live your life moving forward. The Hanson’s are experiencing it to the fullest extent, and it is anything but easy.

A family of 5 plus animals is now displaced through no fault of their own. The exact cause of the fire has not been confirmed, and the loss is catastrophic. As of now, nothing in the home, garage and surrounding area is salvageable, and until the cleanup is complete, the Hanson will need to replace everything as they were left with the clothes on their back. When will we wake from this nightmare? Will we ever be able to sleep soundly through the night without being awoken by fear of another fire? A trauma such as this leads to much more than replacing objects, but at this moment, material items are exactly what is needed! Chris and Melissa are currently residing in an RV with no running water. Lucas and Landon (Chris and Melissa's sons) are staying with another family member, and Halliejo is staying with a friend. This family needs to be put back together urgently!

This typical day turned upside down has led us to ask for your help in all possible ways. We understand we won’t be able to ease their minds when panic sets in at random ultimately, but we can help them replace what was taken by fire.
