Help reunite Emad and his Mother
My name is Shirley, I'm a wife and mother from Montreal. I read about Emad in the news and immediately my heart broke into a million pieces. The story was all over. Emad, the young Yezidi boy who was captured by ISIS was just found, alive, wounded and broken. If you are like me, you don't know him but you feel he could be your son. If you are like me, you want to do everything you can to help.
His name is Emad, he is 12 years old and is alive. Having spent 3 years in ISIS captivity under the worst of circumstances, he now learns his mother is alive as well.
Nofa Zaghla, his mother escaped ISIS as a sex slave after 3 brutal years and is hurting tremendously. She never thought she would see her son again, until she received a message from her cousin a few days ago who spotted Emad Mishko Tamo on social media, after he was released from ISIS by the Iraqi army. There are no words to describe her feeling, her hurt, her desperate need to be with him.
The story is beyond what anyone could have imagined. They were tortured, starved, beaten and separated from their families.
Nofa is pleading for our help to reunite her with her son as soon as possible. She and her family were traumatized and brutalized in so many ways and hope that you can help to bring her son to Canada without delay.
100% of funds collected will go directly to Nofa and her family in Canada to help them rebuild a life they finally derserve. Monies will go directly to Nofa's bank account through this GoFundMe page as she will be the sole beneficiary. She will have complete discretion as to were funds will go. With 4 children, hopefully 5 soon, she will be able to care for them without a financial burden. No donation is too small. Please keep them all in your hearts.
On behalf of CYCI, Steve Maman and everyone fighting to end Yezidi genocide, GD Bless.
