Reuniting my Mother with her Veteran Father

Hello, my name is Ellie.

I have created this page to help reunite my mother with her father, she has had no contact and been unable to find him for the past 50 years. Until now. 

My mother , Catherine, was placed in foster care as an infant as her mother was unfit to care for her and her father had left the country with no contact information , she was passed through many foster homes and never knew of many family members. Unfortunately there was no stability for her growing up. She was taken into her Auntys home around the age of 7 due to unstable foster homes.

Unfortunately, her mother passed away when she was a teenager, leaving her with limited information about her father or where to find him. We only knew that he was a solider in the Vietnam War and we were able to relocate his service record from her birth certificate information.

Throughout her whole life, Catherine has made many attempts to find him, that were unsuccessful. We decided recently to give it another go 

Finally, We have been successful, we have found him, however, he is on the other side of the world. We’re in Sydney, he’s in London.

He is in an age care home with dementia and has been progressively getting worse with a recent hospital stay, he is quite unwell. 

Catherine is on disability, she has asked me to accompany her on this journey as it is unsafe for her to do alone with her mental health and physical health complications.

Our family are trying raise funds to reunite her with her father, as she is not financially able to do this on her own, we need to both get an express passport and return plane tickets as soon as possible given the circumstances. We will need to fly to London and then hire a car for the 3 hour drive to Orpington.
