Rev Up for One Last Ride: Acalanes Auto Shop Last Hurrah

Donation protected

Hi there, we are the Acalanes auto shop out of Acalanes High School in Lafayette, California. Our auto shop program is getting severely cut back and due to that, our instructor will be leaving the position because it is no longer viable to teach a now part-time program. In an effort to maintain morale and celebrate the program’s accomplishments, we are embarking on an expedition to drive two 1975 mail Jeeps that the Auto Shop repaired from the San Francisco Bay Area to Baja Norte, Mexico with Michael Emery of Slowbaja. Then, returning from Mexico we will conquer Death Valley and traverse Route 395 back home. Our convoy will include 5 plus other pre-1975 4x4s which will endure the harsh desert environment that will put all the drivers and vehicles to the test. We see this as a last hurrah for the program, We are kindly asking for your donations to aid with running costs like gas, insurance, registration costs, and supplies for the Journey. If a party donates $200 or more, we can paint your company logo or name on a body panel of choice. It will support high school students who want to work with their hands and show people in our community if not the state that High School shop programs matter. Thank you for reading.
