Refresh Discovery Lab’s Playground

I am raising money for a nonprofit school, Discovery Lab. Discovery Lab is a small, project-based school in Ellensburg Washington. They offer students a comfortable, multi-age classroom where they get to be inquisitive and creative, in a self-driven learning environment.

Discovery Lab is staffed by a few, passionate teachers, who devote all of their time, energy and funding to create thought provoking lesson plans. Because Discovery Lab is passionate about keeping the school affordable, the school is in need of some updates.

Their current need is for funds to refresh the playground, so kids have a safe place to run, play and learn. The quote from the landscaper includes:

-Removing loose gravel, haul in cedar playground chips (4" depth)

-Install shrubs and plants provided by discovery lab.

-Install irrigation line/drip emitter to the shrubs

-Install sprinklers for the garden box area

-Approximately 285 square feet of sod

-A simple paver patio at front of the playground
