Revitalizing Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery
Donation protected
Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, located in the city of Carson, CA is the final resting place for our loved ones for many generations. In 1934, Lincoln Cemetery was created to give dignity to African Americans and people of color when burials of POC were denied and restricted due to race.
Since July 22nd, 2023, Aisha Woods and other community volunteers whose loved ones reside there keep the gates open and have monthly community clean ups since its closure in July of 2023. However, recent challenges have placed the cemetery’s existence in jeopardy. Due to an unfortunate illness that has overcome the Owner prompting him to surrender his cemetery license which made the cemetery vulnerable. As of recent, despicable actions of thieves who have brazenly vandalized the sacred grounds; stealing brass and copper from grave sites. Now more then ever the community volunteers need your help with donations to continue revitalizing the grounds and making repairs.
