Revive BX Runnaz: Tim's Community Effort

My name is Tim Lang, I am the founder of "BX Runnaz", a Bronx based basketball/youth counseling program created for all NYC youth. Runnaz was created in 2010. This is our fourteenth year as an independent urban community based organization. During this time we have gone from a few interested players, to a real team of strong competitors including girls basketball team (middle school) coached and funded by myself. Our 13th and 14th year reign was cut short last year due to lack of funds. Since we are an urban based league the participation in the neighborhood wasn’t sufficient. This tournament is dearly needed in the neighborhood as a gateway for many of our minority youth.

I am attempting to raise some much-needed funds to help us continue our league I understand that sponsorship is very expensive, I know because I've sponsored this program from start to present on my own. I am a husband and father of five, a proud union member of Local 46 NYC Ironworkers. It is challenging to continue alone. This sponsorship would support to reactivate the Runnaz program. Having a sponsorship would support our love for inner city basketball and also the love for our youth as well.
