Help us rejuvenate The Electric Church, Austin's crossroads of creativity, music, and community. Our current venue, built in the 1940s, requires frequent maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and roofing. A relentless record-setting Texas summer has greatly affected our DIY music venue and art gallery, demanding urgent repairs, especially the restoration of our broken air conditioning.
The Electric Church cultivates a dynamic space where art, music, and community converge. With a commitment to fostering inclusivity, creativity, and collaboration, it seeks to amplify emerging talent, inspire connections, and enrich Austin's cultural landscape.
The Challenge:
Our full-time commitment to the DIY ethos, while admirable, has its challenges, given the nature of our unconventional space and events. It limits our access to traditional funding and sponsorships. The Electric Church curates and funds its on-going weekly events which more often than not puts us in a precarious financial situation that limits our ability for making improvements, repairs, and investing in future production costs, leaving us at a standstill that jeopardizes our current venue's future.
Immediate Needs:
Air Conditioning Restoration: Your donation will fund air conditioning repairs to ensure everyone's comfort during extreme weather.
Facility Enhancements: We aim to implement crucial upgrades to enhance the overall indoor and outdoor experience including accessible restrooms, outdoor seating, outdoor sun-protection for the stage and audience, and repairs to damaged roofing and equipment.
