Loumies has experienced its fair share of difficulties, particularly the health of my beloved husband, Raed. His sudden health deterioration took us by surprise, presenting us with unimaginable challenges. Gratefully, he underwent a successful liver transplant operation. It was miraculous that in few short months he was matched with a viable liver, a process that normally would have taken years. We are in awe of the merciful universe that was watching over him. Our relocation to New York City was done for the sole purpose of him getting the best specialized medical expertise that he could receive. While the biggest hurdle has been crossed, his road to full recovery is still long and arduous.

The Impossible Choice:

During these trying times, I was faced with a choice no one should have to make - dedicating my time and energy solely to my family's well-being or balancing the weight of my business responsibilities. The decision was incredibly difficult, and it led to the temporary closure of Loumies. Though necessary, this closure has had a profound impact on our financial stability, leaving us with outstanding debts further exacerbated by the significant medical expenses we incurred.

An Inspiring Resurgence:

Now, with Raed on the path to recovery, I am filled with hope and determination to reopen Loumies and continue our culinary journey. But I can't do this alone - your support is crucial in helping us overcome these challenges and rebuild the vibrant community space that Loumies represents.
