Revolutionizing Publishing: Fire & Honey Press

Dear Future Supporter,

I know I am not alone in hearing the deafening scream of our souls for new systems. A calling for world conflicts around race, class, environmental, economic, and gender— systemic and institutional to end. We are ready for a shift, a shift into a decolonized, loving, community-based system and a regenerative world.

Seeking those who hope, dream, and work towards better systems. Seeking those who are ready for new narratives. Seeking those who hear the call to help and support in building new tables.

Part of creating this world is finding our role and stepping into the shoes that move us toward this beautiful future. In 2018, I unexpectedly stepped into authorship as a teacher by seeing a gap in the representation in the designated curriculum. The shoes led me towards unnavigated water which came out relatively unscathed, with a new level of discernment and deeply blessed in community. Thank you to everyone who has faired the journey with me so far.

With 15 pieces of work published or in the publishing process that I have authored, I am thrilled and excited to introduce you to my new endeavor. Meet Fire + Honey Press, a groundbreaking digital publishing company and creative studio that is challenging the status quo of the traditional publishing industry. Fire + Honey Press I am committed to amplifying own voices, fostering community collaboration, and promoting social and environmental justice through equitable publishing practices.

The publishing industry is plagued with systemic flaws, prioritizing profit over quality and diversity of content. Brilliant creations often go unrecognized or are altered to fit commercial standards. Moreover, there is a significant lack of representation and opportunities for BIPOC authors and stories. Fire + Honey Press aims to rectify these issues by creating a platform where authentic and diverse narratives can thrive, free from profit-centered decision-making.

At Fire + Honey Press, our mission is simple yet powerful: to foster community collaboration through publishing digital narratives in three formats: written, audio, and visual. We provide brave and inclusive spaces for individuals to share their unique stories and challenge existing genres and systems. We aim to create greater belonging and liberation by elevating unheard and underrepresented voices and narratives.
