In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, we know that lots of coastal Texas folks will be in need of crisis counseling, mental health support, and long-term stabilization. We moved to Georgetown from Port Aransas in 2016. We worked in Corpus Christi and care deeply about those along the third coast.
Through our mental health practice, Revolutionary Wellness, PLLC, Lisa (LCSW-S) and I (Tiffany, LPC) are committing to provide this support for free in Rockport and Port Aransas at least once a month for the next year...or longer, but that's up to YOU!
Our program is called RevWell on Wheels. We will take a pop-up camper to offer mobile crisis counseling to Harvery survivors and their families. We are trained in crisis counseling, career counseling, play therapy, expressive arts counseling, and animal-assisted therapy. We will have Teledoc availabile for those who need general medical prescriptions, and are working to have a psychiatrist on hand for psychiatric medication management. We are asking for funds for the camper, gas, food/water, and therapy materials needed to support these folks once a month for at least the next year.
