From Reward To Rebuild To Rehab Our Children

Donation protected
The Gaza Strip has a few refugee camps where families live with only basic medical and educational resources provided by the U.N. Most of these families have many children and rely heavily on these basic services. It is challenging for these families to raise their children and provide for their basic physical needs, let alone provide the sense of safety and security that every child deserves.
Camps Breakerz Crew (CB Crew) is a dance team that was established in 2003 by a group of local youths to represent the Palestinian children and support them through the emotional and social struggles caused by the political turmoil around them by performing and teaching dance.
CB Crew helps the children of Gaza heal from trauma, express and understand their emotions. Moving to the rhythm helps them gain a feeling of existence and belonging, and gives hope and spreads awareness.
CB Crew's projects quickly caught international attention. They presented their projects and art abroad at festivals and events throughout Europe and the Middle East, giving a voice to the Palestinian people on the international stage.

When the school was bombed in the 2009 war, CB Crew continued to dance and teach amid the rubble until, through a fundraising campaign, they were able to relocate to Nusierat Refugee Camp in central Gaza Strip.
During the bombings of 2014, CB Crew traveled to UN schools throughout the Gaza Strip, where families were seeking shelter after having been forced from their homes. By bringing the children together, teaching them and encouraging them to dance, CB Crew brought a sense of community and belonging to these displaced children. This is when it became their mission to keep on dancing with the community.

CB Crew also supports children with external needs such as clothing and educational materials. They offer free classes where they host small activities every weekend for the local children to join and compete; some children have come to the school with only sandals on, and danced barefoot. Winners usually receive a small prize such as a pair of shoes, a t-shirt, or a water bottle - items that can be used for dancing.

Since its inception, CB Crew's school has been supported by volunteers and generous individuals, and has been self-managing and planning with great success. But to keep the school open and continue helping others, Camps Breakerz Crew needs your help to cover expenses such as rent, clothing, shoes, travel, and designing new prizes to award to the children. Contributions of any amount will not only provide materially but will put a smile on the children's faces. To acknowledge your generosity, the children of the school will write your name on a t-shirt that will be displayed in the school to remind them, the visitors, and the community at large that you helped make this all possible.

At this time we are under war time. We are praying to stay alive and pass this scary phase. We go to shelters to motivate those children who seeked shelter after losing their homes.
We will require to rehab and restore our community mental health after this phase. Please do what you can to support us.
