I have known my Marine veteran friend Darryl for over ten years. He is sweet, kind, and, most of all, he is always caring. A great friend who never hesitates to lend a helping hand.

Last night, August 16, 2022, he became a hero again when he selflessly tackled a man carrying a hand grenade and a gun at a local bar, the Corner Pub bar in Wilton Manors, FL. He did this by preventing the possible loss of life of the patrons, the bar employees, the suspect, and himself. Putting himself in danger for the safety of the rest.

Darryl has had a rough year. Although he will not make this very evident, he had a motorcycle accident earlier this year, damaging his beloved bike. He is currently between jobs and cannot fully repair his motorcycle, and he deserves to have some good come his way.

Let's show Darryl how good people treat those who selflessly act for the good of others. Especially those who served our country.

I only wish we could have more people like Darryl around these very trying times; if you can donate anything, you will make a hero feel loved and cared for.
