Rewrite the Stars for Crisis
We've been using our passion for musical theatre to raise awareness of homelessness in the UK by inviting people to download or listen to our cover of Rewrite the Stars here in return for a small donation, which you can make on this page.
We set a goal of £2818 as this was the cost to help 100 people at £28.18 each to have a warm welcome and a way out of homeless and to better health with Crisis at Christmas. With some very kind donations we managed to get part of the way there with £378. Thank you so much to everyone who's supported us so far.
But Crisis is not just for Christmas and we still want to reach our goal.
Crisis UK helps thousands of people all year round through education, training and support with housing, employment and health. We've been doing our best to promote our campaign and you can hear more about where it all started on Crisis UK's website:

You can also listen to our interview with Andy Mitchell at Blackpool's Radio Wave:

Please help us reach our goal by downloading or listening to our cover of Rewrite the Stars in return for a donation of £5 or more.

All funds will go direct to Crisis UK.
Through our campaign we've learnt about the causes of homelessness, and how it can happen much more easily than you might think.
This is from Crisis UK's website:
What causes homelessness?
People become homeless for lots of different reasons. There are social causes of homelessness, such as a lack of affordable housing, poverty and unemployment; and life events which cause individuals to become homeless.
People can become homeless when they leave prison, care or the army with no home to go to. Many homeless women have escaped a violent relationship.
Many people become homeless because they can no longer afford the rent.
And for many, life events like a relationship breaking down, losing a job, mental or physical health problems, or substance misuse can be the trigger. Being homeless can, in turn, make many of these problems even harder to resolve.
You can read more about it here: www.crisis.org.uk/ending-homelessness/about-homelessness
A huge thank you to all of the following who kindly gave us gratis permission to do this: 20th Century Fox, Warner Music, Atlantic Records, Kobalt Music, Dawn Burnett at Sony/ATV and PRS for Music.
Recorded and produced at Ten Forward Music Productions, who provided us with encouragement and excellent musical direction.
