Help Sandra Make A Record!

Hello!

I"m Sandra Taylor and I'm fundraising so that I can record an album of original music with Toronto-based producer Chris Stringer.

I'm a pianist/composer/singer-songwriter and general all-kinds-of-art-maker. Songs have been accumulating since around 2014 that I'd really love to have on an album! It seems overdue.

A professional studio recording would do more justice to the music (and the listeners) than the cell phone versions I record at home can!

To make an album happen, I need funds to pay the producer Chris Stringer, the engineer during the days in studio, my travel to Toronto, possibly other session musicians, and mastering. Then there are production costs if I want to make physical CDs.

We plan to record between 6-12 songs depending on the funds I can put together. The album will be mostly piano and voice, with some percussion and bass and the possibility of a few other musical colours here and there depending on the song. I am committed to recording 6, but aiming for a full length album, which would require somewhere from 10,000-15,000 to complete.

This is the website of Union Sound in Toronto and we are also likely to record a bit at Chris Stringer's home studio. Chris has tons of experience producing songwriters and is positive and cares a lot about the music, which is why I've chosen him to work with for this album.

This is bound to take a little while to actualize, but I plan to record this spring and hope to have the record completed by spring or summer 2024.
