Help Super Fly Sly Guy!

Hi Everyone!

Together with family and friends, we are starting a fund for Sly Scapellato. On Thursday, September 15, 2022 a tragic incident occurred. Sly was a victim of a vicious dog attack. A dog bit Sly in the face. Sly lost all of his cheek tissue, and had serious injury to his nose, eye, and lip. Sly has undergone procedure with a plastic surgeon to repair his nose, eye, and lip at Luries Children's Hospital in Chicago. However, due to the loss of all tissue to his cheek, the majority of the right side of his face has to remain open to allow for tissue regeneration. Sly will undergo painful dressing changes twice daily at home until his cheek can be repaired. During this time, he will need 24 hour monitoring and care to keep the wound clean and to keep him from further injury. Unfortunately, the surgeons estimate that Sly’s face will need care and revision for the next five years due to the severity of the wound, and to give Sly the best chance of full recovery. The hospital bills, surgeries, specialist appointments, travel, time from work, and supply cost has and will continue to cost this young family an astronomical amount.
