Miah's Birthday Fundraising
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Miah Llanes and it’s almost my birthday! I am so excited that for my birthday this year, It will be a fund raising campaign for children’s education in the Philippines. As everyone know that children and education are close to my heart I feel the need to make my birthday meaningful by doing this initiative.
Covid19 is changing the children’s world of education. The school closures are one of the most visible – and controversial – means by which Covid-19 is affecting young people. According to Unesco, the education of nearly 1.6 billion pupils in 190 countries has so far been affected – that’s 90% of the world’s school-age children. And at the time of writing, there are still no definite plans for opening the schools of around half of these children.
To prevent the widening inequalities in education, teachers and students need to provide alternatives to prevent the widening inequalities in education.
My goal is to reach $1000 to provide support school supplies such as printer and tablets for Roxas Central School, Pag Asa High school and Balanti Elementary School. This is in response to the growing needs of Filipino students that will aid them in distance learning due to the Pandemic.
You can make me happy on my birthday at the same time help children to achieve their dreams. My beneficiaries are the following.
1. RCS Elementary School (my hometown)
2. IUplift Philippines
Giving is not just about donations, it’s about making a difference in touching people’s lives.
Any amount counts. Much love <3
