RFC Academy Fundraiser

At the Rose From Concrete Academy, we aim to empower youth through targeted curricula, one-on-one mentorship and community investments to improve outcomes related to social determinants of health. Rose From Concrete agrees with the theory presented in Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, namely that, for our community to reach a stage of “self-actualization,” a fundamental level of needs must be met. In addition to the work done in our classrooms, we aim to coordinate wrap-around services for our youth to limit the extent to which their physiological needs limit their ability to focus on their secondary ones. A task force will exist composed of “buds”/mentors, a licensed and experienced social worker, and those that she seeks counsel from. Our RFC Academy will be able to empower our youth by responding to needs across the spectrum. Whether it is nurturing their minds through our unique programs, working with them to identify self-love practices, or helping them and their families to meet their most basic needs, we aim to support them in attaining the levels of safety, love and belonging, and self-esteem essential to unlocking the potential to become their best selves.
