‏**We live on the sidewalks in tents. Let me tell you my story...**

‏My name is Ahmed Hassan Al-Sir. I am 37 years old, working as a government employee and a sports coach. My wife, Lubna Khalil Al-Sir, is 30 years old and works as an accountant at a private company.

‏We have three children: Mohamed, who is 9 years old, Hassan, who is 7, and Yazan, who is 2. We built a beautiful home to shelter our small family, but we incurred many debts and loans to make our dream house a reality.

‏On weekends, we would take our kids out to play and enjoy life as much as we could. However, after October 7th, this cursed war forced us to leave our home, abandoning everything we had.

‏We took nothing with us but the memories of our home, hoping to return and resume our lives. We moved to places that were supposed to be safe, but they became dangerous, and we had to keep moving from one place to another, searching for safety for our children. We’ve been displaced five times, and we still haven’t found a safe place. Now, we live in a tent on the street.

‏Can you imagine children of this age having to leave their home and sleep on the street? After the withdrawal from our neighborhood, we rushed back, eager to check on our home, only to find it reduced to a pile of rubble. We didn’t know whether to mourn our house or our current situation.

‏At that moment, my son Mohamed found his favorite toy. He was so happy, but he discovered it was broken. He tried to fix it, but we returned to the tent disappointed.

‏Currently, we have lost everything we own. We only have our children. We are trying with all our might to get them out of Gaza, to live in freedom and dignity away from war and destruction. My children deserve to continue their education, to live with dignity, to play freely, and to feel safe and secure.
