Helen and Douglas House is a registered charity providing respite and end of life care for children with life shortening conditions, as well as support and friendship for the whole family.

Here is a bit about why we have chosen to support this wonderful Charity:

Chosen due to staff member connection- Her boyfriends niece, Ella was at Helen House Hospice back in 2018.

Ella had Spinal Muscular Atrophy, which she was diagnosed at 6 months and moved to Helen House Hospice (for Children) to receive care once her condition worsened.

Helen House supported Ella, her siblings and parents as part of their respite. Ella spent lots of time in and out of Helen House until she passed away in her sleep on Easter Sunday 2018, she was aged just 1 & a half years old.

Her mum Natalie has a TikTok page and she is happy for us to share the link so people can see Ella’s story. There are 4 videos sharing their journey- be warned it is really emotional- grab a tissue for Part 4!
