Brownville's Food Pantry For Deer

Brownville's Food Pantry for Deer provides essential nourishment to the local deer population, feeding approximately 700 pounds of oats daily to 150-200 deer. In addition to local Maine oats, these animals also enjoy a diet enriched with apples and acorns sourced from the surrounding woods.

This year, we estimate needing 35 tons of oats and 3 tons of apples purchased from local businesses. Our bulk purchasing of the oats allows us to efficiently utilize our silo once again this season. All donations directly fund the purchase of oats, feed blocks, apples, and essential supplies.
