Jonathan Avery Beautillion Scholar

Dear Family and Friends, it has been more than seventeen years since I arrived on the scene prematurely on June 10, 1997 weighing in at a whopping two pounds. I’ve been blessed to reach my senior year in high school and I am now preparing to go to college the Fall of 2015. I know that your prayers and words of encouragement have sustained me thus far and will continue to fortify me.
    In alignment with my endeavor to attend college, I am participating in the Beautillion Militaire Leadership Training and Educational Assistance Program. The Kappas of Durham Foundation is a nonprofit charitable entity with Section 501 (c) (3) tax exempt status. The organizational mission is to provide leadership in community education, mentorship, educational philanthropy, and social causes to the benefit of the city of Durham and throughout the state of North Carolina and the United States.
    This program allows me to participate in a series of educational and life skills seminars while also working to raise funds for the Kappas of Durham Foundation’s scholarship fund.
      I thank you for kindness, support, prayers, and being part of “My Village” that has been an integral part of my development as a person.
