Rural Westfield needs your help!
Doação protegida
Undisciplined growth is prevalent in Westfield, Indiana, despite the concern and work being put forth by residents to defend their own properties. The Advisory Planning Commission and City Council continue to recommend and approve development, sometimes displacing and often upsetting, the residents of our community.
Responsible Growth Alliance of Westfield , a citizens action committee made up of affected homeowners and interested parties, has hired a legal defense team to make sure our voices are heard by APC, Council and the Developer of the Aurora Planned Unit Development .
The amendment before the City, includes 317 acres of development which seeks zoning for commercial and industrial development in rural Westfield, located east of US 31 to Grassy Branch and 196th Street north to State Road 38.
Aurora would potentially harm Providence Wildlife Rehabilitation and For the Birds of Indiana , who take in birds and animals throughout Indiana and neighboring states. Additionally, Aurora would change the entire landscape for these rural, large lot homeowners. Our properties are corridors for local wildlife from the largest wooded area in Hamilton County, Robert’s Woods. More than that, the developer is asking for zoning that could be detrimental to our lifestyle, as country neighbors, which includes: light business, general business, enclosed industrial and open storage.
We are seeking your help; any amount will be appreciated, in order to continue our legal representation. Please contribute as soon as possible. There are legal deadlines which we must meet or our right to fight against Aurora PUD may be lost forever! Please help us by sharing this link to others who will not stand for local government to dismiss the rights and voices of the people in their community!
