Makayla's Voice

In America today, 1 in every 59 children are diagnosed with a form of Autism, while children of color are far more likely to be misdiagnosed. Studies show that African-American children are misdiagnosed at a rate of 5 to 1 in comparison to white children, referred to specialists less often and are less likely to receive medical testing.

Though Khari "Needlz" Cain has gained success creating hits for the likes of Drake, Bruno Mars and Cardi B, he and his family have dealt with many of these same challenges. They've gone to extreme measures to find specialized clinicians and educational resources that their daughter Makayla and every child diagnosed with Autism deserves.

Makayla's Voice is the beginning to a way forward in making a difference. We a building a center to help Atlanta's communities of color, offering clinical workshops, therapeutic and educational resources. Also, we'll provide a virtual experience that will allow these communities the chance to experience the impacts of the condition.
