Help a family rebuild after a devastating wildfire

  My name is Robert and I am organizing this fundraiser to provide financial support for any and all expenses Nicole and Victoria Hala’api’api may have in light of the complete destruction of their home and personal property. I have been close friends with the Hala’api’api family since 2012 and have lived with them in Lahaina at their home for just as long. I spend most of my time each day with Nicole as we are very close. I will be sending 100% of the proceeds of this fundraiser directly to Victoria via Cash App and/or will be making purchases on Nicole’s behalf. Nicole does not have a Cash App account and is not very computer literate so I will be making purchases on their behalf and only at their request. 

 They have an immediate need for vehicle repairs due to damage to her vehicles received during the fire as well as gas, food, housing expenses and a litany of other needs one might imagine a family made homeless overnight might encounter. The following is there story: 

 Hi I am Victoria Hala’api’api this is my story. After hours and hours of not hearing from my mom, she texted “Are you alright? Where are you” I texted back I’m safe mom take the back road to come to Wailuku , No answer after hours she answers the phone call. “Where are you” “ Im at war Memorial “ I wondered why it took her a long time to come to the other side, her words were “My tire popped while I was at work at Lahaina Gateway I was on foot” My heart dropped in seconds i ask where did you go, her response “ I walked on foot to our house and our house is burnt down “ I said we live by 505 I can’t believe you walked all away over there. She said “ I couldn’t believe it was gone I wanted to walk on the property but there were still flames.“

 Then she slept on 505 beach on

08-08-2023. 

 Once she woke up she walked around she saw a fire department truck so she walked over to it. The fire department truck took her up to Maui prep academy, once she got there she Help check people in , she was a first responder. 

 I forgot to add details in which happened before she walked to our house. She stopped the fire by Walgreens and Lahaina Gateway with buckets of water. Till the day of Lahaina Gateway is still standing, She is now safe.

The name of my brave mother is Nicole Groen Hala’api’api my name is Victoria rose Hala’api’api and I have 5 more brothers that are devastated.

 My mom and us have lost our house in Lahaina unfortunately we couldn’t grab anything from our house. I just wanted to let people know that we are not the only people that has lost there home, so, with this money we could help others as well but of course we will be using the money to help us get things we are in need of.
