Help Lamar Complete His Transition!

Hi! My name is Lamar, and I am an Afro-Caribbean transman who has finally been granted the opportunity to get top surgery. Top surgery is an operation that would improve my life in every aspect. Although I have been lucky enough to have most of it covered by my insurance, I will also be paying the remaining amount entirely out of pocket, including taking out of my savings that would allow me to move out of my unhealthy home environment.

I currently work full-time at a very labor-intensive job and bind a minimum of 10 hours a day. This causes me to experience extreme back pain but also means that I will have to take more time off work than expected. My gofundme goal includes the remaining fees for my surgery in January 2023, fees for my legal name change, and the finances to keep me afloat as I recover.

After years of severe depression, transitioning has made life worth living again, and the closer I get to my goals, the more I feel empowered to take control of my safety and happiness. Any help is much appreciated, and thank you for sharing and reading this far!
