Bringing Honey Home
Donation protected
Hi friends and family! Some of you may know when I moved to Japan I adopted a little street cat called Honey. I adopted her because my friend’s neighbour was set on killing her and her siblings (treatment of animals are a little different here. There are very few shelters and many cats on the street)
Since then, Honey has been my wonderful companion and we have been inseparable.
I have been trying to save up, as I knew her travel would cost me extra however I did not realise UK had different rules to the rest of the world and animals MUST travel in cargo. This is a lot more expensive than normal animal travel.
So far, cargo handlers have quoted me £1200
I also have to pay an agent to clear her through customs for another £400
This does not include her travel from Nagasaki to Tokyo, her rabies vaccine, her microchip, her health certificate and her crate.
Its all adding up and what I’ve saved so far will only cover half.
On top of this Honey recently survived an illness that kills 70% of cats (SFTS) it was a miracle that she survived but the vet bills cut into a lot of my savings.
So I am asking for your help! Anything you could spare to help us out would be madly appreciated and please come visit us because Honey loves cuddles, being held like a baby and tummy rubs. I will be very sad if I have to leave her behind. Please help me bring her home!
