Rhea's Journey

Hi, we are Specsavers Colwyn Bay and we are raising funds for a remarkable young lady and her family.

Rhea came to see us in August this year for a routine eye test.

That was the day that Rhea's life changed.

Our Optician, Rhian, discovered that Rhea had worrying changes at the back of her eyes prompting her to send Rhea to see an Ophthalmologist immediately.

Within 5 days, Rhea was undergoing brain surgery at Liverpools Alderhey Hospital.

In September, Rhea underwent her second brain surgery.

Having suffered many complications and setbacks, she still has the most amazing smile. Within the coming weeks, Rhea will begin her radiotherapy treatment and may possibly be spending Christmas in hospital.

Rhea and her family are doing the best they can but they really do need our help.

Mum and Dad really do need as much support as possible and we hope that we can help to ease the financial strain they are experiencing.

Rhea is one of 3 girls and has 3 brothers. Hopefully we can make sure that their Christmas is better than they had hoped for.
