Rhett Garvin’s medical expenses.

My name is Cynthia Garvin and Rhett Garvin is my almost 2 year old grandson. On Saturday, August 5, 2023 Rhett experienced a drowning accident. With quick action by my husband Gary (aka Grandpa) and my daughter Christina (Rhett’s momma), first responders and the amazing medical staff at Children’s Hospital LA, Rhett has survived and is on a slow and steady march to healing. Many of our family, friends, business associates and the racing community have been asking what they can do to help. After some deep consideration, we are “swallowing our pride” and asking for some financial help. Christina is going to be on leave from work for several weeks, at best. Most of it may be unpaid leave. Rhett was airlifted to CHLA and has been in the PICU. Christina’s insurance will cover most of it but not all. There will be additional expenses as well such as parking, gas to travel home and back, and food.

So we are asking our friends and family for the help offered. So many have asked how to help and even if we were going to start a GoFundMe. So we have. Any donation, no matter how small, will be a huge help. Thank you for the prayers and support. Our entire family is overwhelmed from the outpouring of love from you all.
