Rhett Larsen Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Rhett Larsen, 39, was a loving father, husband, and worked as a Fire Engineer with the City of Bend Fire Department.
On the evening of Saturday, June 2, Rhett was off-duty, returning home to Bend from Portland on his motorcycle when, at Milepost 80, a large bear crossed directly in front of him. The impact with the bear drove Rhett into oncoming traffic, and he died at the scene.
Bend Firefighters Local 227 stated, "The loss of such a fun-loving, energetic soul is felt deeply by both our department and our community."
Funds donated will go to support the Larsen family. The Larsen and Bend Fire families appreciate the many heartfelt sentiments they've received during this very difficult time.
