Update on Rhi's condition - 20/03/2020
Rhi has recently had a CT scan which gave her the most devestating news, just when you think things can't any worse. It has for Rhi. Rhi's cancer has spread to her brain, shortening her prognosis to a mere 3-4 months. The government are advising anybody with health problems to self isolate for 12 weeks, meaning Rhi will not get to do all the wonderful things they planned as she needs to keep herself safe from this awful virus.
The money we're raising may not allow Rhi and her family to have a final holiday together or fund precious memories, but it will give Gav, Max and Izzie some much needed financial security.
We are Rhi's village, #ittakesavillage, and we want to raise money for our dear friend Rhi who has been diagnosed with incurable secondary breast cancer which has spread.
Her prognosis is around 12 months, the world is just too cruel
Rhi is mama to 3 year old Max and 10 month old Izzie. We want to make this year the best it can possibly be for Rhi, the kids and her husband Gav by raising funds for them.
We met Rhi through the wonderful world of Instagram and in her time of need we want to show her what this amazing community is made of. No mum left behind!
So if you are reading this, we are asking for your help. No amount is too small and every little helps!
This is Rhi's story;
In August of 2019 Rhi was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. After a few months of chemotherapy, new results confirmed the worst for Rhi and her family. Her cancer is incurable and more aggressive than first thought, which has given her the most heartbreaking prognosis. Rhi is 31 years old and she is a loving wife to Gav, and an incredible mother to Max (aged 3) and Izzie (aged 10 months).
Rhi's cancer is totally out of the blue, there is no history of breast cancer in her family. Before her diagnosis, Rhi was just your everyday working mum and wife, this was the last thing expected to happen. It can happen to anyone, it can happen to you, your sister, your mum, your friend etc. So please check your boobs, if you even have a slight feel that something isn't right to straight to your GP, because you just don't know. Grab those boobs and coppafeel!
We want to make this year the best it can possibly be for Rhi, Gav and the kids. So we have started a go fund me page - Rhi's Village. Because it takes a village, and we are Rhi's village. So Rhi and her family can have the funds to make memories and have some financial security. We met Rhi through this wonderful world of insta and in her time of need want to show her what this amazing community is made of. No mum left behind.
Some words from Rhi - "Because that's the point in all this. I can't change my story but I can maybe change someone else's."
