Rhiannon - Cancer Fight Support Fund

Donation protected
In June 2021 I was chatting with my dear friend Rhi. We had both gotten abnormal mammograms back and were having to go in for biopsies. Mine came back clear of cancer, hers came back as Cancer.
Rhiannon was diagnosed as having Stage 3 breast and lymphatic cancer.
In Sept 2021 Rhi started her first of 16 rounds of chemo (1 round every two weeks). End of Jan 2022 she started Radiation. 21 rounds of Radiation (5 days a week for 4 weeks+ 1). The Chemo treatments left her with neuropathy (Neuropathy is damage to the nerves which interrupts communication between the brain and extremities impairing muscle moment and prevents normal sensation. This leaves her unable to feel her hands and feet, and too weak to open jars, grip things, and a long list of other complications). Due to the Neuropathy, she tendon damage to her right foot which makes it difficult to walk or drive. Her therapy is across the city and now, in additional to the support she needs in everyday life while going through this intense cancer treatment, she is unable to drive (broken peddle foot) to and from her daily appointments.
Rhi often works several jobs to support her and her 15 year old Daughter, Avery, but the treatments (both schedule and Side effects) have made working impossible. When chatting with her I asked how long she though before she would be able to return to a work routine and she figured a year at least.
As we all know, life (bills/rent/food/ skids sports) don’t stop, even for critical illness. Rhi is a single mom. She is tough and has raised a really good kid, during some pretty trying times. I have rarely experienced her asking for help, even during this very difficult time when she really should be. Rhi is really sick and needs a hand. I wish each day I was close enough to go hold her hand during treatments or hug her when she is nervous for her and her daughter’s future, even just drive her around and cook for her. I am not close enough in proximity to be able to offer her my time and physical energy, but I can put this Go-Fund me together, be the first to donate and ask others to offer support too.
The goal is to simply raise some funds to offer them. I don’t have a dollar value as anything is helpful. For Rhi, who has lived on a tight budget for years, this would aid her in being able to focus on her treatments and healing. To be able to continue to pay for extracurricular activities that her daughter benefits from (all kids do but in this moment, even more so) and to have a cushion for the next year while she will not be able to work or offer much of herself outward.
