On January 26th 2018 I was diagnosed with Acute B-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia. What followed was a series of hospitalizations, intense chemotherapy (spinal, IV, and oral). I have been receiving treatment non-stop for over a year now and as a result have fought through several potentially fatal infections. January 25th 2019 I learned I now have cervical cancer to face as well but thankfully that is able to be dealt with using an outpatient procedure on March 6th 2019. Treatment for leukemia however still means another 2 1/2 years of chemo and bone marrow biopsies remain. Possibly a bone marrow transplant as well. I am married with 4 small children of my own who are now 6, 4, almost 3, & 17 months old. We also have guardianship of my 32 year old developmentally disabled brother. At the time of diagnosis I was the one providing all income. We were immediately thrust into an 8 month period of no income before I reached a point where most days I could care for my children and my husband was able to return to work but making significantly less than I made. Bills just keep piling up and we are struggling to stay afloat. I desperately want to enjoy the time I have remaining with my family instead of being in a constant state of survival, anxiety, & stress. Thank you in advance for all help you are able to give.
