RhizeUP- A Youth Startup

Hello everyone,

We are excited to share that our project, RhizeUp, was awarded the First Runner-up Grand Prize at the iGEM Venture Creation Labs! We are incredibly grateful for this recognition and are eager to take our project to the next level.

RhizeUp is a project that aims to prevent water pollution by engineering a soil bacteria called Rhizobium to solubilize and uptake inorganic phosphates. This innovative approach has the potential to significantly reduce the amount of pollutants entering our waterways.

We recently completed the iGEM Venture Creation Labs. During this program, we developed a business plan based on the East Coast Biocrew 2023 project RhizeUp. Our success in the program and the recognition we received have inspired us to move forward with our plans to enter the market as a biofertilizer company.

We envision a future where we can see the regeneration and cleansing of the algae and muck in the Baltimore harbor and Chesapeake Bay. But to make this vision a reality, we need your support.
