Rhode Island Folk Festival 2021
Tax deductible
The RHODE ISLAND FOLK FESTIVAL (formerly known as the Providence Folk Festival) is a FREE music festival featuring some of the finest folk, acoustic, and Americana singer-songwriter acts in Rhode Island and beyond. On August 29, we'll be holding the seventh annual festival at the beautiful Rose Larisa Park in East Providence! Rose Larisa Park offers water views, close proximity to the East Bay Bike Path, and ample room to spread out. Organizers will be following all local and state regulations to keep audience and artists as safe as possible. We need your help to make this festival happen and keep it FREE and accessible to all! Please watch our video and read below for more information, and visit
https://rhodeislandfolkfestival.com/!
Your donation will help to fund festival costs essential to a great day of music, including:
* Compensating musicians
* Licenses and insurance
* Sound equipment and sound techs
* "Facilities"
* Staging and tents
* And more!
Our initial GoFundMe goal of $1,500 is only a fraction of what it costs to put on the festival. The more money we have, the more we can do! And so we have a stretch goal of $3,000, and an extra-stretchy stretch goal of $5,000. Any amount helps! And we’re offering a few donation incentives:
* $150: Recording of a cover song of your choice from a musical board member of your choice**
* $300: An original song written just for you from a musical board member of your choice**
* $500: A song of your choice (original or cover) performed by a musical board member of your choice at the festival, with a lavish dedication to you!**
**Musical board members include: Allysen Callery, Beth Barron, John Fuzek, Steve Allain, and Tracie Potochnik. Artists retain all rights to original songs. You will be contacted after your donation to arrange your song!
All donations will go directly to Hear in Rhode Island, a 501(c)(3), arts organization that produces the Rhode Island Folk Festival and other music events throughout Rhode Island. Corporate sponsorships and grants will also help to fund the festival.
We hope you can join us on August 29, 2021 for the seventh annual Rhode Island Folk Festival!
