Help Rhonda kick cancer's ass!

Hi, I'm Cora and Rhonda is my beautiful firstborn child. Our picture was taken at a book signing convention we attended together six years ago when she was vibrant and thriving. Today is a different story.

In November 2022 Rhonda had Covid-19 and noticed afterward she couldn't regain the few pounds she had lost. In January she went to urgent care when she was having trouble breathing. She was hospitalized with blood clots in both lungs and immediately put on blood thinners. During routine CT tests, two large masses were seen in her abdomen and she was referred to an oncologist who would have had her in surgery the following day. However, the blood thinners and the blood clots did not give her a fighting chance. So, we had to wait. Rhonda's now 83 lbs and receiving iron infusions to improve her chances to beat this disease. Finally, after weeks of tests and hospital visits, Rhonda is facing major surgery on Tuesday, March 7 for endometrial cancer which will be followed by six rounds of chemotherapy over 18 weeks.

Despite her having worked hard for the last 20 years and having health insurance, not working and the medical copays are taking their toll. Rhonda isn't one to ask for help, but Mama's not so proud.
