Rhonda's Name and Document Change Fund

Hey. We're all just going through it right now, and between the US and the situation elsewhere there are probably a million other more pressing places you can send money, but the truth is: I think I just need help.

My name is Rhonda Facemire and I am a nonbinary femme living in West Virginia. I only recently got access to at least a month of HRT through informed consent care through Medicaid, but I'm still trying to figure out how to get all my legal issues sorted out before it may very well become harder, and it's already not to easy considering the costs associated with these things.

I am currently unemployed and having difficulty getting any positive responses from jobs I apply for, so the $200 court filing fee and associated fees for name changes in West Virginia as well as the fees for changing my passport and other associated documents are very hard to spin for me at the moment.

I am in a safe enough place with fairly supportive parents for now, and I'm trying to get my life together so I can move out and find anywhere else. I don't think I need the money for that, but it wouldn't be unappreciated. At the moment my priority is scraping enough together to at least give me the legal dignity of my actual name and gender marker, and just in case it is needed to remain on treatment officially.

If you can or are willing, any bit helps, really. Like I said, plenty of people are in more dire situations right now so I completely understand if you choose to donate your money elsewhere. Just doing what I can, I suppose.
