Rhonda's Stroke Relief Fund
Donation protected
My 32 year old sister, Rhonda, had a stroke St.Patty's Weekend and it has turned our lives completely upside down. We share and apartment and had been enjoying mom life together. Since I work from home it was a great arrangement because I was able to be home with both of our children. She worked 2 jobs, 1 part and 1 full time and was the "bread winner" in the house.
I have was denied FMLA leave, but was granted an unpaid personal leave. My sister isn't even home yet and the hospital has started talking about co pays and deadlines. Bills don't stop because someone in their 30s had a stroke.
Hopefully she will able to come home around the 18th (UPDATE: She will not be able to come home, she will be transferring to a sub acute care facility for more rigourous physical therapy, so that by the time she comes home she will be almost completely independent. They would not let her come home because we have too many stairs and she just mastered walking with a walker) but the doctors are unsure how long it will be before she is able to get back to work. So I am hopeing to raise at least 2 months of rent and expenses so neither of us feel rushed back to work so she can have a full recovery and be her loud and crazy self again.
Thank you all in advance for your time and concern, and any donations are greatly appreciated as well.
