Support marginalized youth in Sierra Leone through the arts

My name is Soukaina Marie-Laure Edom, I am reaching out to You in my capacity as founder/ director of AfriKera Arts Trust .

I am seeking your support for mobility funds to honour the invitation from Ballanta Academy of Music and Performing Arts to assist and share my skills in setting up the Ballanta Dance Training program that promises to meaningfully impact marginalised youth.

The Ballanta Academy of Music and Performing Arts based in Freetown - Sierra Leone, is a centre for practice, training and research into music and arts education with indigenous and international content. It provides a platform for nurturing talent to be recognized nationally and internationally.

Dunia Dance Theatre founder/ artistic director, Harold George is the project leader to assist the Ballanta Academy of Music and Performing Arts centre, in Freetown, Sierra Leone, his native country, in setting up the Ballanta Dance Training Programme.

In the context of their upcoming launch of a creative dance programme from January 2025, I am invited to be part of the consultant team.

1850USD = Air ticket/ Visa/ Airport tax/ Ferry Airport to Freetown

1200USD = 2 weeks accommodation
