Lt. Joseph Zajac's Funeral Fund

I never thought I would be writing a go fund me, but here I sit trying to get my thoughts together without crying .


Lt Joseph Zajac loved serving his country. He was the epitome of a Soldier, and a proud Navy Veteran. He was witty, smart, and loved his family. He was my everything .. My name is Merle Zajac and I am Lt Zajac's wife.
Joe had traveled to Chicago to be with his terminally ill sister. On the morning of February 21st, family came into the living room only to find Joe had suddenly passed away through the night. In my mind this was not real. He was there to help his sister and then come home. I tell myself he prepared the way for his sister because she passed away shortly after but I find myself lost. All of a sudden instead of making summer plans , I am making travel, then funeral plans for the man I was supposed to spend retirement with enjoying each others companionship . Joe and I lived on an extremely tight budget. I am asking for help to cover the funeral costs, travel expense and for help with initial monthly bills as I try to put my world together. After 16 years of being together there will always be a piece missing now. Thank you for any bit that you can help. And if you cannot donate please just keep a prayer in your heart.
