Rhys & his Heart

Rhys Boser is a 16 year old energetic, kind, hard working sportsman who was admitted to Children’s Hospital on May 20th. Rhys was diagnosed with Myocarditis which has caused his heart to fail. On May 25th he had open heart surgery. On June 3rd doctors installed a heart pump. Since then Rhys has had many more surgeries and will most likely need a heart transplant in the future, unless

his heart heals with the help of the pump. Going on 7 weeks in the hospital. Once released, Rhys will need to have weekly check ups at Children’s Hospital to test his LVAD heart pump. As you can imagine this has caused stress and heart ache on the family. The Boser’s would appreciate any help you can give!
