My name is Zulma Lochard, and I serve as the Program Director of Illuminate Heart, a transformative organization dedicated to empowering young adults with special needs through creative expression and healing arts.

Our mission at Illuminate Heart focuses on fostering healing, self-expression, and empowerment. Through the arts, we create a supportive environment where individuals can explore their potential, connect with others, and uncover their inner strength.

One of our flagship initiatives, the Music, Movement, and Freedom project, harnesses the transformative power of rhythm and dance. By blending music therapy, creative movement, and cultural traditions, this project offers participants a joyful space to express themselves, find release, and connect deeply. We believe that when individuals move to the rhythm of a drum, they unlock a profound sense of freedom—in both body and spirit.

To expand this program, we are currently raising $5,000 to purchase percussion instruments that will enhance our workshops and community sessions. These instruments will bring the heartbeat of our mission to life, allowing participants to explore the transformative power of music in deeper and more profound ways.
