Rían Conor Keogh

At 21 weeks gestation, my best friend, Aoife, and her husband, Ciarán, learned that their baby boy would be born with an encephalocele. They were told that it was such a devastating defect that the baby would not survive the pregnancy nor delivery.

 

Miraculously, Little Rían was born on January 4th, 2022. He went home with Mom and Dad eating, pooping, and beating everyone's expectations. After a consultation with a neurosurgeon, the decision has been made to operate on Rían. Mom, Dad, and Rían are about to begin the fight of a lifetime.

 

In order to care for Rían, Mom and Dad are going to need to be out of work for an unknown period of time. They are going to be living in the hospital. If you are able, this family could really use our help in order to alleviate one element of this tremendously stressful endeavor.
