Hello Family and Friends, it is with a heavy heart that I share my Tio Ricky's story and what he is going through. But first we thank God for all of the time he allowed us to share with Ricky and the amazing testimony and change that God has done in his life. Ricky married his wife Irene in 2006 who then introduced him to church and Christ. She showed him a new way to live life to the fullest and he took it head on. In 2006 he also dedicted his life to Christ and never looked back, he lives his life according to the word of God and does not miss an oppoturnity to talk or sing His praises. Anyone who knows or has met Ricky knows the huge heart that he has and the selfless love he shows to everyone around him. He is always quick to help those in need without ever expecting anything in return. He enjoys spending time with his family and grandkids, cooking out, fishing and of course going to church and singing his heart out.
Unfortunely God is calling his son home too soon for our liking, but we trust and have peace knowing that God always has a plan and purpose for why He does what he does, even when we can't understand it. Just a few months ago the doctors found cancer in his colon and liver which has caused him a lot of pain. On Sept 11th he was rushed to the hospital bc he was having a hard time breathing. During this visit and through a series of tests they found out he had Covid along with Pneumonia and a Sepsis infection. Due to all of these things going on at once he has not been responding to treatments and his organs have started to shut down. Ricky has come to peace with his time to go and meet our Savior and would like to be surrounded with love and joy; this is his celebration and not a goodbye. He will be released on hospice care where he can go home and be surrounded by his family and loved ones.
If God places in your heart to help relieve the financial burden off of his wife and family know that it will be greatly appreciated. If you are not able to give financially please lift him and his family in prayer as we prepare to send him to his new, permanent, beautiful home, with streets of gold, where he will sing and dance peacefully without suffering. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, God Bless!
