Ricardo Vasconez medical treatment

Ricardo Vasconez is a beloved father, a friend and, and a pilot.

Ten years ago, he was diagnosed with Cancer (Multiple Myeloma) so he has lived with this disease ever since. He has managed to live a "normal" life thanks to many expensive medicines he takes, the cost of the medicines go up to 10 000 USD per month, private insurance used to cover this but unfortunately, the expenses have reached the insurance's limit. We have managed to cover the expenses with our savings but this is going out of our hands.

About three months ago, my father starting feeling pretty bad and he had to stop working because he needed to start Dialysis, he underwent a small surgery to get the Dialysis catheter and then started having this treatment 3 times per week. We stopped getting any income because my mom needs to take care of him all the time and, even though receives Dialysis at a public hospital, we still need the money for his cancer medicines.

All the savings we had (savings that were used for my dad's health only) are gone. Two weeks ago, he was not feeling good at all so my mom took him to the emergency room and the picture is not good. He has Anemia, the catheter produced an infection to his body, and on top of it, he is with Covid right now. This is such a difficult situation for my family and I.

I wouldn’t be asking for help if we didn’t need it. It breaks my heart seeing my dad so sick and seeing mother so worried about where are they going to get the money for all the medicines he needs and all the expenses we will have. All the money we get from this will exclusively be used for all the expenses related to my dad's treatment. I appreciate everyone’s efforts to help my family.
